We have been so busy lately! Last night was the second of two poker tournaments that we hosted to raise money for the Relay for Life team we are on. Relay for Life is a team event held every year to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society. The poker nights raised $432 for our team, which is AWESOME! I am participating in memory of my grandfather, James Goutierez, who died 14 years ago today of lung cancer. If anyone who reads this would like to donate money to our team, please email me at coastalwaters1@yahoo.com! Or, you can donate directly to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org. Dan and I are also very involved in the Coast Guard Family Association as most of you know, and we helped out with the CGFA's fundraising booth at the Second Annual May Day Fly In today. We are both exhausted, Dan more than I. He started helping at about 7:45am and finally got home at about 6pm. I only worked about 2 hours, but I had the kids all day. We also got two fish today, a molly named Violet, and a swordtail (platy) named Nemo. Steven got to pick the fish and the names out. Well, that's about all that is going on here. Later days! Posted by Hello

All she wanted to do when I was trying to take her picture was chew on that skirt. She has a deer in the headlights look here. Lol Posted by Hello

Here is a big smile from Princess Raspberry, as we have started calling her. She learned how to blow raspberries the other day, and now the front of her shirt is constantly soaked with drool. She loves to blow the binkie forcably out of her mouth across the room! Posted by Hello

Here is Hannah sitting on the couch. That is such a sweet little dress! She is getting really good at sitting up, and doesn't have to lean forward on her hands at all! Posted by Hello

I love this picture of Steven and Hannah! Steven looks like he is meditating and Hannah is along for the ride... They were riding Steven's stuffed horse at the time. Posted by Hello

Good Lord time flies! I can't believe it has been that long since I updated! We have been so busy lately. I got Steven registered for Kindergarten and we got to go on a tour of the classrooms and the elementary school. It looks awesome! Steven is doing great in preschool, but we think he is not being challenged enough. He is starting to be a troublemaker when he gets bored. His current teacher said the K teacher will be able to handle it though, so don't be worried. Hannah is doing awesome! She is cute as a button at five months old, and is trying desperately to sit up on her own! She puts EVERYTHING in her mouth, and smiles as she drools all over you... We have nicknamed her Slimer. Steven turns five next week (May 8), my Mother's Day baby! Hannah's is on Thanksgiving this year, too! The birthdays fall really strange this year: Dan was on MLK Day, Galaxy (the dog) on Easter, Steven on Mother's Day, Zorro (the cat) on Independence Day (every year for that one haha) and then Hannah on Thanksgiving. That leaves me and Gumbo (the other dog) with non-holiday Bdays. Oh well. Mine is coming up too, on May 17. 26 already! Where did the time go???? Well, that is all I can think about to ramble on about. I will try to find some more pics to post now. Enjoy! Posted by Hello

This is why people move to Alaska! This was taken right in front of our hosue, looking north into Mineral Creek Canyon. That mountain is right behind our house! Posted by Hello
